Why is this important?

Every time we wash synthetic textiles, thousands of microplastic fibers are released from our washing machines into the waterways and oceans. These fibers account for about 35% of primary microplastics in the world’s oceans, making them one of the predominant microplastic ocean pollutants and therefore — a very serious threat.
We live in an unsustainable world, where large amounts of drinkable water are used in our daily tasks. For example, one single laundry uses 60–150 liters of fresh water. Globally our water consumption is increasing, whilst fresh water is being progressively overused, mismanaged and wasted in many areas. This can affect billions of people’s lives now, and in the near future.

Our mission

At Mimbly, we aim to positively impact the health and fate of our planet by enabling change in unsustainable behaviours surrounding water(s). Our current focus is set on helping any kind of business with larger scale laundry rooms, such as housing companies, facility management, and hotels, to make these changes.
